WHAT IS YOUR SKIIQ Is your technique as good as you think it is

Introduction

Hey there! I’m Alexandra Thalmann, a skiing instructor in Zermatt, and a member of the SwissSnow Demo Team. Today, I want to share with you my experience using Carv’s free ski mode to enhance my skiing skills and receive personalized feedback to improve my performance on the slopes.

Using Carv’s Free Ski Mode

So, I decided to try out Carv’s free ski mode to test my balance, edging, rotation, and pressure while skiing. As I hit the slopes, Carv provided me with real-time tips and feedback on how I could enhance my skiing technique for the next run. It even assigned me a SKI:IQ™ score to track my progress and compare with friends.

Competing for Improvement

One of the things I love about using Carv’s free ski mode is the element of friendly competition it adds to my skiing experience. Being able to see how my friends are scoring and striving to ski better each time makes the whole process a lot more enjoyable and motivating.

Implementing Feedback for Better Performance

After receiving my SKI:IQ™ score and feedback from Carv, I focused on implementing the suggestions provided to me. For instance, on my next run, I worked on applying smoother pressure on my outside ski to navigate through bumpy terrain more effectively. The immediate feedback from Carv helped me track my progress and see improvements in my edge smoothness.
