CARV FREE SKI MODE Monitor your technique and track your SkiIQ improvements over time

Introduction

A great coach always starts by watching you ski and then gives you feedback. That’s essentially how Free ski mode works. Ski a run as you normally would, and then when you’re back on the chairlift, Carv will tell you have you’ve done through your headphones. To start this mode, hit the ski mode located centrally at the bottom of your screen, then hit start. Now for the fun part, let’s ski! The Carv system has been developed with top-level instructors to create metrics that can assess your technique for different skills across different turn types.

Understanding Ski:IQ™

Ski:IQ™ is an overall score that is calculated based on four foundational skills of skiing: balance, edging, rotation, and pressure. These metrics are used to assess your technique and performance during your run. It provides you with a comprehensive analysis of your skiing abilities and helps you track your progress over time.

Improving Your Technique

Carv provides real-time feedback on your skiing performance, highlighting areas where you can improve. By focusing on specific skills like pressure control and outside ski usage, you can work on enhancing your technique and ultimately increase your Ski:IQ™ score. The system acts as a virtual coach, guiding you through each run and helping you become a better skier.

Tracking Your Progress

Your Ski:IQ™ serves as a benchmark to monitor your improvement and performance on the slopes. Setting a new high score can be a rewarding experience and motivates you to continue refining your skills. By consistently using Carv and paying attention to the feedback provided, you can see tangible progress in your skiing abilities over time.

Utilizing Training Mode

If you notice areas where you consistently score lower in your skiing, Carv’s training mode can help you target those specific skills for improvement.
